As I mentioned in my recent review of the We-Vibe Touch, I had the chance to attend Catalyst Con this past March. While I was there, I chatted with folks at We-Vibe about how great the new We-Vibe 4 is and told them of my unending love for the Tango. Sadly, I lamented, my Tango was on it’s last legs after 4 years of solid use. They must have taken pity on me (or were scared by the look of desperation in my eyes) because they gave me the new and improved Tango to replace my old one. And I’m happy to report that it’s just as good – if not better than the old one.
It’s probably not a secret, considering my past reviews, that I love strong vibration. Specifically strong rumbly vibration. However, most of the toys on the market that provide that kind of vibration are either too bulky or too loud. I was thrilled when the original Tango came out and provided all of that great, deep vibration in a discreet , tiny package that could be used during penetration. The hard plastic body transmits vibration beautifully while the beveled tip provides fantastic, pinpoint clitoral and nipple stimulation. The bevel is also great for putting vibration on the frenulum if you happen to be the owner or handler of a penis. The small tapered shape makes it a perfect replacement for less powerful bullet vibes in dildos and butt plugs too! Add all of that to the fact that the Tango is rechargeable, waterproof and relatively quiet and you basically have my perfect toy.
Me, when I think about the Tango
When I found out that We-Vibe was revamping the Tango, I immediately became worried that it wouldn’t be a as good. What if the vibration was different? What if they changed the shape? But, luckily, We-Vibe has only made the Tango better. With this new edition, the Tango has gotten a little bit longer which is great because it gives you a bit more of a handle to hang on to. They have made the bevel a bit more ovular which just focuses the vibration even more. They tell me they haven’t made the motor stronger but it feels a bit stronger to me. They have also added a low battery warning light (THANK YOU) and made the charger more secure so that it doesn’t fall off during charging as easily (a common issue with the old one). So my beloved Tango is intact – with slight enhancements that make it even better now.
I have been recommending the Tango to customers since it hit the market a few years ago and will continue to do so. It’s perfect for people who are looking to upgrade from the basic Silver Bullet, want a toy that can provide clitoral stimulation during penetration, or who love the Hitatchi but just want something smaller and quieter. The Tango isn’t great for people with decreased hand and / or finger mobility because it’s tiny and can be difficult to grip (you are better off going with the Touch in that case) but otherwise, it’s a wonderful toy!
