German engineering has brought us BMW, Mercedes, SAP. Many know at least one of these brand-names and the list goes on and on. Germany carries over 20 slots on the Forbes list alone – What does that have to do with vibrators?
When Fun Factory, a German-based toy company, stopped by to show us some of their new releases, we were curious to ask why German engineering felt it to be a good idea to put a rubberband near anyone’s bits.
“Please explain the rubberband”
“The gently taut silicone stimulation band is placed between the softly rounded tip and the side bud for clitoral arousal. It externally stimulates the Venus mound (mons) and the vaginal lips (inner and outer labia) – this little detail ensures levels of excitement of a special kind. The Amorino is the first vibrator ever to use a silicone band to transmit vibrations all around the external erogenous zones. The string is removable and can be adjusted to create different sensations.”
Behold – Amorino – A vibrator that envelops the entire clitoral area. “Ganz toll!”
Explanation in hand, curiosity about the band design sated, further curiosity brewed. Would this be a revelation for the genital piercing community – a soft, vibrating band that can gently vibrate against piercings instead of hard plastic toys, for example?
Once the Amorino is inserted with the band and nose of the toy placed over the clitoris, the vibration carries down the band, around, and back up again. It does not “clang” into piercings and provides a hum type of vibration against the labia. If you are wanting a more intense vibration from the band, twist it once or twice around (See diagrams below). The actual nose of the toy is a bit smaller than traditional rabbit styles, so the band is a nice addition for added stimulation. If your bits do not care about added vibration, the band can simply be removed. Without the band, the tip is curved for shallow G-spot stimulation.
Penis owner? No worries. You can press the toy against the anal opening and stimulate the perineum area in much the same way. The toy might be “mini” but it is mighty in the vibration department. Alternately, one can remove the band and insert this toy anally for use as a delightful prostate vibe.
Another cool thing that Fun Factory does with their design is that you can press a “FUN” button to get the party started! That’s right, press “FUN” to start, stop, and lock / (+) and (-) to scroll through 6 patterns and speeds. It’s also waterproof and rechargeable with awesome click & charge technology! You will know charging is complete when all 3 buttons on the handle stop flashing. The buttons stop flashing one at a time so that you know charging is drawing to a close (I am impatient, OK?!)
Overall this toy is lightweight, durable, and can be used in a multitude of ways. It doesn’t hurt that it comes in awesome color options like pink and petrol (teal). Last, but not least, for the hopeless romantic: the toy design was also based on Cupid’s Bow. Experience Cupid’s fabled weapon up close and very personal. Auf Wiedersehen!
